Two people, a crew, and a phone that gets answered.
Colby Brenner Construction builds custom homes and whole-home renovations out of McAlester. Small enough that you talk to the person doing the work, big enough to run a build start to finish.

Colby
Builds it
On the job sites. He runs the crew, brings in the licensed trades, and handles the parts of a build that decide whether the rest of it holds up.
He also answers his own phone, which is worth knowing before you call. If a project is not something we should take on, you will hear that from him directly rather than through three weeks of quiet.

Jess
Runs it
Jess handles estimating, invoicing, and the schedule. If your question has a number or a date in it, she is the one with the answer.
She will also tell you where you land in the queue before you commit to anything, which is the part most people find out too late.
The crew
The same people show up to your job. Framing, drywall, tile, trim, and most of what happens between the slab and the paint is done in house. Electrical and plumbing come from licensed trades we have worked with for years.
How a project runs
Not complicated, but worth knowing before you start, because most of the frustration in building comes from not knowing which part you are in.
01
You call Colby
Tell him what you are thinking about. He will tell you whether it is something we should take on. Sometimes the answer is no, and it is better to hear that in the first conversation.
02
Jess puts the estimate together
Once a project is real, it goes to Jess. She prices it out and puts it in writing.
03
You find out where you land
We tell you where you sit in the schedule before you sign anything. Smaller jobs run eight to twelve weeks out. A ground-up build is planned further ahead than that.
04
Colby runs the site
Crew, trades, inspections, and the order things happen in. The decisions that get made along the way are the ones on the project pages.
05
Billing goes through Jess
One place for invoices and one person to ask about them.
Where we work
McAlester and Lake Eufaula are home, and we work across southeast Oklahoma from there.
Distance matters more on a ground-up build than on a remodel, because someone has to be on that site every day. If you are far enough out that we could not do it right, we will say so instead of taking the job and driving.
